Mistwalker's 'Party Wave' Arrives Next Month

The iOS game Party Wave from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi is releasing mid July, developer Mistwalker confirmed. "Surfing is one of my hobbies and I’m pleased to make it an iOS game," "Sakaguchi said. When surf is small and many are surfing, surfers sometime catch the same wave and call out “Party Wave!

"When I heard those voices, I decided to make this game where game players can experience the shared fun of surfing.  It’s nearly completed.  Hope many people enjoy it when it’s available."

Below is the trailer for Party Wave.

  • I think mobile gaming is overrated. The only game apps I have are Angry Birds (came with it), Angry Birds Space, Jetpack Joyride, and Mass Effect Datatpad, which really isn't a game.
  • Does that really happen? no, really?
  • The guy's making a game based off of a hobby that it important to him. Everyone's gonna hate on it because it's iOS, but I doubt that he would try to make a crap game out of his favorite sport. Let's just wait and see how it is before dissing it...

  • That doesn't look all that interesting or good to be honest.
  • Eh, trailer didn't do much for the better to me. I'll save my final opinion until after I've played it

  • I play IOS games as well. Saw this trailer..............................................................  *** STORM!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wonder if this game will have RPG elements ;)

  • Is it free?
  • This is the same dev that made blue dragon right?
  • Maybe it's just me, but it honestly looks…complicated. Like it's one of those games that don't seem hard to play but actually is.

  • That's kind of cool, I like how they did the staff credits. Nice to see he's making a game about something he enjoys, even if it's something I'll likely never play.
