Couple Gets Married In Minecraft-Themed Wedding, Makes Everyone Jealous

We already brought you a kitschy Minecraft thing in the last few days, but this Minecraft-themed wedding was too good to pass up.

Asia and Matt got engaged with Notch's help at Minecon 2011. Their fabulously nerdy wedding included life-size sculptures of Creepers and animals like sheep and pigs, a "diamond" necklace for Asia, and custom Jones Soda bottles featuring art from Mojang's Art Developer, JunkBoy. Additionally, their wedding cake looked like an in-game cake, and the groom and groomsmen wore low-resolution-style red ties.

Asia and Matt got married in April, but photos from the event are still available online, should you be looking for a little inspiration for your own endeavors in nerdy love.

It's not making me jealous, if it was, then the wedding dress would've been made in pixels.

Edit: If it was a Portal 2 themed wedding and Glados was invited, then I would've been interested.

This is awesome...but why is this just now being reported? I saw news on this about a month or two ago. Either way, I'm glad the couple is getting the spotlight with their awesome wedding! Hope they always build bricks and kill creepers together for the rest of their lives...or something like that. -RGC
