God Of War Ascension Collector's Edition Appears On Amazon

A collector's edition of the upcoming God of War Ascension has appeared on Amazon.com.

There isn't anything particularly groundbreaking as far as collector's editions go. A statue, an art book, a soundtrack, etc. It looks like you do get a pass for future DLC, so that is technically a confirmation that Ascension will have DLC. Here's the full list of stuff:

Exclusive 8" Kratos Statue
Premium Steelbook case
Official Game Soundtrack (digital version)
PS3 Dynamic Theme
PSN Avatar Pack
Multiplayer Double XP Unlock
Pass for future DLC content

The collector's edition will be $79.99 and will release alongside the regular edition of the game on March 12 of next year.

Yeah, this was up on Amazon quite a while ago. I pre-ordered it after I realized the other article stating "coming only to Latin America" hadn't even taken into consideration that most of the swag in that edition was coming to America.

You wouldn't have needed a news tip if you had just read the first few comments on the previous story.

That's an awesome deal for the price. The statue and the DLC pass is worth the extra $20.

Seeing as how all PS3 games are region free, one could just buy the S. American CE and still have it work just fine.

I don't think it's very fair that people who payed extra get double XP. Your real life economic status shouldn't reflect your ability to play games.

Well atleast people who don't pay extra don't get over-powered swords. Oh well, the collection looks awesome, usually packs like this that include Steel cases, action figures and OST cost upwards of 100$.

I am going to pre-order this as well. Normally I don't buy collector's editions of games because they usually 100+ USD for things that I don't really care about. Since it's only 20 USD more though and it comes with the dlc it isn't such a big deal.
