The Max Payne 3 community has been asked to help cleanse its online multiplayer experience of cheaters.

Rockstar has asked today that if any player notices another player gaining an unfair advantage by way of illegal cheats and hacks to notify the company so they can investigate. If they do find out that a player has cheated the player "will be quarantined from all other players into a 'Cheaters Pool', where they'll only be able to compete in multiplayer matches with other confirmed miscreants."

The second time a player is caught cheating will result in permanent "banishment." In addition, Rockstar will be restructuring the leaderboards to remove invalid entries in an effort "to ensure that the players at the top of the charts have earned their spots fairly."

If you suspect a player of cheating in MP3, Rockstar asks that you send an email with details about the offense/offender. For more information about how you can help bring the Banhammer down on the heads of these cheaters, follow this link.
