PopCap To Host Solitaire Blitz Guinness World Record Marathon

PopCap announced it will be hosting two people who will play Solitaire Blitz for at least 30 hours in order to raise money for the nonprofit organization, charity: water.

Fans of Solitaire Blitz can head over to the game's Facebook page to pledge money in support of the June 26th and 27th marathon, which aims to break the Guinness World Record for "Longest Videogames Marathon Playing a Card Game."  The two players include a 68-year-old grandmother from New Jersey, who plans to log at least 60 hours of playtime in the next two weeks in preparation.

PopCap was acquired by Electronic Arts in 2011 and is known primarily for its flagship franchise, Bejeweled.
