The lights are on
If you're willing to spend an extra $30 when you buy Capcom's upcoming Resident Evil 6, you could also score digital copies of a handful of past classics from the series.
Today, on its blog Capcom-Unity, the company confirmed rumors that there would be special Resident Evil 6 Anthology editions in the U.S.
Resident Evil 6 Anthology will retail for $89.99 and will release on October 2 alongside the standard edition of the game. Interestingly, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game contain different lineups -- with PS3 owners getting six games to the 360's four (though 360 owners will get Resident Evil Degeneration, a CG animated film as well). Still, if you have both systems, PlayStation 3 would be a much better value for the money.
Here are the games included for both systems.
RESIDENT EVIL 6 ANTHOLOGY (PS3)
Resident Evil 6
Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition
Resident Evil 4 HD
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil: Director's Cut
RESIDENT EVIL 6 ARCHIVES (360)
Resident Evil Code: Veronica X HD
Resident Evil Degeneration (DVD film)

Sweet, that's a great price for all of those games
This was announced right after I just bought the rest of the titles for the first time.
Code Veronica and 4 are on Arcade, and Degeneration is on Netflix. Directors Cut, 2, and 3 would actually benefit 360 users, but that would make too much sense. Stupid move.
Upgraded the harddrive, have the space, and never fulled played any of these. This sounds like a good idea IF i want to replay all the old games
That's a great deal.
Wow that's a great deal for ps3 owners, I would love to play the first 3 Resident Evils again!. If that was the same lineup for 360 buying the anthology edition would be a no brainer. But seeing as how I already own Resident Evil 5 gold edition and didn't really like Resident Evil: Degeneration (movie) . . . the final verdict is; *I'll Pass*
Fortunately I own both systems, but I'm going to have to go for the Ps3. This is a great deal, and now I'm even more excited for RE6 to come out.
Although I understand that the games included with the PS3 version are already available on the PSN, it still sucks that the 360 version doesn't get the same things.
Since I have the 360, and since I've also got RE4 HD and beat the hell out of RE5, it's so not worth getting the Archives Edition.
I would have loved to have been able to play the first three games on my 360 :( It makes you wonder why they haven't released HD remakes of the GameCube ports and Resident Evil 0 since they did 4 and Code Veronica.
Eh.... I have both consoles, but Imma go give the Xbox Normal Edition the payment. I already own the games anyways lol
im pretty sure i'll beat all 5 RE games before 6 comes out. ehhh', i'll just get 6
