The lights are on
Sony's E3 2012 press conference came and went, and the company made no mention of its troubled first-party title The Last Guardian.
At DICE in February earlier this year, Sony's president of worldwide studios Shuhei Yoshida said the game was being reworked after running into techincal issues. When asked today at E3, Yoshida was unable to provide any new updates, but did say the game was coming along.
"There are some technical issues being addressed. There’s not much to show what it looks like," he told Game Informer. "This period of time we are unable to give an update, but the game is still in development."
The Last Guardian was first unveiled at E3 2009.
I bought a PS3 because I knew this game was coming. Being over 30 now, a year passes before you even remember to change a light bulb it's starting to seem. I guess it's been a while now since this was announced.
Oh well, it's a great bluray player and someday I'll play Journey.
I will buy this day one
Ok and now update me on why new Vita games were not shown.
I wish the developers would explain a bit more what is going on behind the scenes in the development cycle, but I understand why they must remain secretive.
Rather have them have it perfect.
Good I love this keep up running ans still alive.
This game looks really good and I cant wait for it I just wish they would show a littal bit more off. Seems to me like it will be a really good game if its takeing this long, and wow I cant belive it was that long ago that they frist anouced it.
I'm still a little concerned it's only being finished because of the contract between Sony and the developers. I really hope that doesn't take the soul out of the game.
5 years in development only 5 more to go
Well that sucks but it was to be expected. Still, really looking forward to this game.
Man, I hate it when a highly anticipated game is developed so slowly. This and Final Fantasy Versus XIII are taking their sweet-ass time!
Ready to here more on this game.
Such a bummer this title has run into trouble... the fanbase is obviously very invested in the project already, it would break peoples hearts if it ended up being scrapped :/
im sure its not easy they want to make sure its great. wait till the tgs.
Sooooo many E3 news. I'm actually pretty excited for this game
2009? It seems so much longer!
