Samsung To Launch Its Own Cloud Gaming Service
Today at E3, Samsung announced that it will be teaming up with Gaikai to launch its own U.S. cloud gaming service on Samsung smart TVs.
The service, called Samsung Cloud Gaming, will be available to people who own a 2012 Samsung LED 7000 series or better smart TV, and offers users the chance to try games before they buy them. Samsung said they intend to offer a mix of family-friendly and AAA titles.
Samsung's partner in this venture, Gaikai Inc., was co-founded in 2008 by David Perry, lead designer of Earthworm Jim.
