Resident Evil 6 Blows Up An Entire City Street

by Ben Reeves on Jun 04, 2012 at 08:00 AM

Update: Capcom has released a massive batch of Resident Evil 6 screens and a trailer to show off what kind of trouble players are in for this October.

Original Story: Leon Kennedy has one of the worst days of his life in Resident Evil 6.

During the Microsoft E3 press conference, Capcom came on stage to show off Resident Evil 6. During the brief demo, Leon runs through the zombie infested streets of Liangshang, China, in an attempt to go save some BSAA agents (possibly Chris.)

Leon does some stuntman dives to get close and personal with enemies, cutting off a few zombie heads and stabbing the undead in the guts. The game looks action-packed and gory just like RE fans like it. The action gets so insane that at one point in the demo, Leon ends up running from an explosion, jumping from a truck, and landing on a helicopter. As the helicopter flies away from the explosion, it runs into an elevated train and crashes through and entire floor of an office building. Somehow Leon survives only to end up surrounded by a horde of zombies that he and his partner Helena must hold off.

So far Resident Evil looks great, and we can’t wait to get our hands on the title. Resident Evil 6 comes out October 2, stay tuned for more impressions as we dive more in depth later this week.
