EA Sports Puts Kinect In Madden & FIFA

by Matthew Kato on Jun 04, 2012 at 06:55 AM

Both American football and football around the world will be getting Kinect voice recognition.

In FIFA, you can make substitutions, change tactics and formations on the fly with the peripheral. You can also argue with the referee or linesman. But watch out if you do, the AI will know, and could give you a card if you're too harsh.

For Madden, Joe Montana took the stage to bark out some pre-snap commands on offense such as flipping his plays, hiking the ball, and calling out hot routes for specific WRs. There was a noticable lag in the hike, for instance, though, so you're going to want to leave some time on the play clock if you're using Kinect.
