The lights are on
Valve announced this morning that the next version of Counter-Strike, dubbed Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, will hit PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and both PC and Mac on Steam for approximately $15 on August 21 of this year.
Courtesy of Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment (Counter-Strike: Source, Defense Grid: The Awakening), CS:GO is intended to introduce the classic adversarial shooter to new audiences with updated versions of content that CS players have been shooting each other for nearly 13 years.
CS:GO also includes the features gamers expect out of a modern online game: matchmaking, leaderboards, and the like.
Check back later in the week for hands-on impressions from the GI team on the show floor at E3 2012 here in Los Angeles.

Pretty excited, I'm terrible at CS on PC
So its releasing august 21st valve time or real time ? Cuz if its valve time we will not see it before 2013( minimum)
Okay, I'll be picking this up! Counter-Strike on my Xbox sounds like a wonderful idea.
$15 dollars? Count me in, I thought this was a $60 retail
when talkin abb CS game,pc should be noted first
This is not some wretched halo game, this is Counter Strike
13 years and I've only been a part of one of them (2011-2012). Not missing the boat this time around. I've enjoyed the beta enough for what it is. $15 is a bargain considering CS 1.6 is only $10 and CS:S is still $20.
Only 15$? That is awesome!!
Sweet. This'll be a great birthday present to myself.
cant wait i wish theyd only make counter strikes and half lifes!
