New Wii U Controller Confirmed

Nintendo confirmed today a revised Wii U controller for its new console. As previously detailed, the controller has analog sticks. The company confirmed the controller during a pre-recorded broadcast this afternoon. All previous Wii controllers are compatible with Wii U.

Nintendo said its E3 2012 press conference will focus mostly on software. Stay tuned for more Wii U news throughout the week.

    I'm not a fan of the location of the sticks in relation to the buttons. Pick up a Xbox controller and try it yourself. (no troll). Plus the Wii U Pro controller looks sweet.

    I'm glad it has actual analog sticks now, but I really can't tell if it's comfortable and practical until I've held it myself.

    Looks better but it all comes down to how the games control. Can't wait for their conference. You guys should also post the "Pro" controller.

    Looks much better.
    I was watching the pre-E3 stream and the chat they had was just constant crap and making fun of how he doesn't speak a foreign language as well as someone who grew up with it. I didn't think people were still so bored that they have to make fun of something as stupid as that.

    Well Nintendo is going all in with online this time. Its a huge focus. Also the Wii U Pro Controller looks nice.

    Just finished the live broadcast. TAKE MY MONEY NINTENDO!!!! The social features are amazing and Super Mario brothers Mii looks great.

    I think it's funny the new Classic Pro controller looks like the Xbox 360 controller. Ha! I'm glad they went with analog sticks with the clicking action. Now, if only we could use two of them on one system at a time...

    Not too enlightened by the analog stick place, but I'm still hyped! I just want to know if it's true if you can play on the tablet if the tv is being used...

    What they're doing with the MiiVerse looks quite innovative and modern. Shame they had to try to convey that through extremely lame acting, but it was very informative.
