Dawnguard Beta Sign Ups Begin

Looking to play the first expansion to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim early? Bethesda is launching a beta for Dawnguard on Xbox 360.

Visit DawnguardBeta.ElderScrolls.com to apply. Bethesda says applicants need a registered account on its official forums. Applicants will be selected in the next week. If you're accepted, you'll get an Xbox Live code to redeem Dawnguard.

The beta is the full version with achievements, so if you participate in the beta you will not have to buy Dawnguard.

    Not to be that guy, but I think Beth might want to beta it on PS3. You know, that console they seem incapable of adapting to.

    EDIT: I guess some people don't realise that Betas are for bug killing and general stability tweaks. I'm not looking for a beta because the PS3 is hard done by, but because they need that extra leg up.

    But someone has already nailed the problem. Xbox timed exclusivity.

    It'll let you register without being a member of the forums. If you are a member of the forums you need to use that same e-mail however. At least it was when I signed up.

    Whoa whoa whoa, wait a second...xbox players get this sh*t free? Ok, wtf. First, u release it to xbox players first, and now u give it to them for free....wow. How much are they payin you? Ur givin us pc (and ps3) players the shaft.

    I was kinda hoping this would be announced as "available right now" at Microsoft's E3 presser like they've done with other things in past years. A beta test means August release at the earliest.
