The lights are on
We've all begun the quick descent into the madness that is E3, and most of us will be attempting to deal with it this weekend by either pretending we're relaxing or by cramming in a bunch of our favorite games.
Jeff Cork: E3 is around the corner, which means I won’t be playing many games next week. (Someone has to keep the home fires burning, after all.) In the meantime, I’m going to try to cram in as much Dragon’s Dogma as I can. And some Pinball FX 2. Always with the Pinball FX 2.Ben Hanson: I’m starting to lose steam my first time though Diablo 3, (maybe I should play more co-op), so I’ve gone back to Xenoblade. I’m about 30 hours in and cannot beat this boss called Tyrea, so I’m spending my time exploring the world and trying to knock out some sidequests. Last night I also starting playing StarCraft 2 again. Adam Biessener and I will be covering Heart of the Swarm very soon and I wanted to re-familiarize myself with the basics. I tried playing Zerg last night and it felt like my first time playing the game. Oh, and then there’s E3 on Sunday.Jeff Marchiafava: Since I’m a professional procrastinator, I’ll spend most of the weekend hastily preparing for E3, doing laundry, mowing the lawn, and trying really hard not to forget something obvious, like a toothbrush or my laptop. If I do have any gaming time, I will continue plugging away at Minecraft or Max Payne 3, depending on whether I’m in the mood for peaceful world-building or shooting dudes in the face.Ali Rapp: I think my subconscious is overwhelmed by the inevitable influx of new releases coming next week at E3, because every game I plan on (re)playing this weekend is from a previous gen: Okami, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, and DDR. I'm also planning to go meet some folks from the University of Minnesota's Teh Pwn Gaming group. Friends have been asking me to go to the group's events and get-togethers for a while now, but I always ducked out because I am studious and lame. No more!Josh Straub: In addition to continuing beating demon faces in as a monk on Diablo 3, I am voluntarily descending (again) into the time vortex that is Skyrim on my PC. Three 24 inch monitors, 16 GB of ram, no bathroom breaks, ok maybe bathroom breaks, and nothing else. We'll see if I make it to work on Monday...Matt Helgeson: I'm taking my wife to see Feist at the Minnesota Zoo. And sleeping as much as possible.Tim Turi: This weekend I’ll be scrambling for scattered morsels of gaming time. I’m staring down the barrel of a bachelor party and E3 travel, so I may have to shelve my games until I’m on the plane. I’ll likely be continuing my second playthrough of Resident Evil: Revelations on the 3DS, or dust off my Game Boy Advance SP and play some Final Fantasy Adventure.Jack Gardner: This weekend I will be enjoying the comfort that only StarCraft 2 can provide. I'll also be making a (hopefully) successful foray into the inferno to kill the devil in Diablo III. Other than that, my weekend is looking a bit light so I might break out the old frisbee golfing discs and hit up a course.
Kyle Hilliard: I have a game started in Dragon's Dogma, but for some reason the Xbox Live version of Resident Evil 4 has been demanding my attention. I'll be heading to E3 on Sunday, and since I'm randomly on a Resident Evil kick, I think my goal for the trip will be to put some more time into Resident Evil: Revelations. I also bought the most recent Humble Indie Bundle, so I may go for all the achievements in Limbo a third time (I already knocked out the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions), check out Amnesia for the first time, or reminisce about Psychonauts. I may also vacuum a floor.
Email the author Ali Rapp, or follow on Twitter, and Game Informer.

I'm still working on ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin' Trails. It's a PSP game, and that's one awesome exclusive.
Also, the Vita needs the ATV Offroad Fury series. Desperealtly. I'm just saying.
Remember ATV Offroad Fury 1-4?? It used to be a PS2 series.

Playing GTA IV and some Ghost Recon Future Soldier multiplayer.
Fire emblem awakening, Witcher 2, and god knows what else.
I got work. And that's all. I wish this weekend was like the last one... 3 days off, noone bothering me and knocking out 1.5 discs of LOD (and catching up on other gaming related stuff)... OH YEAH! THAT WAS GAMING HEAVEN!

Still sinking my time into Xenoblade. Will probably play online in Mario Kart 7 or see if I can find a DS game I haven't played yet at my local library. Was thinking about restarting Vanquish, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to tear myself away from Xenoblade long enough to do so.
Replaying Jade Empire, thinking about buying the pc version because the load times are killing, playing Ghost Recon and reading the small mountain of books that I got for my birthday.
