The lights are on
Dragon's Dogma is doing well in Japan with 302,000 PlayStation 3 copies sold, and 29,000 on Xbox 360.
Dragon's Dogma beat out Mario Tennis for 3DS which came out the same day in Japan, and it also beat the initial numbers of Dark Souls and Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.
Jeff Cork liked Dragon's Dogma quite a bit in his review. It's definitely outside of Capcom's wheelhouse of fighting games, zombies, and side-scrolling platformers starring blue robots, but I think it's safe to say that the game is a success, at least over in Japan.

*whistle*
It seems like the phrase "in/out of blanks wheelhouse" is being used everywhere these days. On topic, I wasn't a fan of the demo, but I might give it a chance later on down the line.
