The lights are on
Lucasfilm today announced it will unveil the newest game franchise in the Star Wars universe. It will debut on Thursday, May 31 on Spike's Gametrailers TV following by the gameplay premiere on June 4.
Lucasfilm recently trademarked "Star Wars 1313," which suggests the game could center on famed bounty hunter Boba Fett. He used the alias 'CT-1313' in the Boba Fett: Maze of Deception novel.
It better be an action game with Boba Fett! That would be epic
I think(and hope) it will be a first person shooter.
A Boba Fett game huh? They already tried something like that last generation with Star Wars Bounty Hunter.
It's a no brainier. An open world game where you play as Boba Fett, travel to worlds and get contracts, you can upgrade your ship, and equipment. Maybe have it the game with a message from Darth Vader asking him to hunt down Han Solo. I'd buy that type of game in a heartbeat.
Sounds like a remarkable setting, can't wait! It would be nice to have a free roam Star Wars game, though.
WHy do I ...... get the feeling it will be The Force Unleashed 3 its what they did with 2 at the SPike Award hyping the *** out of it being a NEW Star WArs game then we find out Star Killer is alive. Lucas Arts need to start thinking about their fans an open world game that we can all enjoy and not pay a subscription for it. Please BF3 Or a Kotar for Consoles.

however if they go lego bounty hunter i will throw all my movies away into the trash and stick with Twlight movies hoping for a MMO game to come about

Whatever. LucasArts is a sucky, sucky company now that Haden Blackman left. That guy may have directed flawed games, like both Force Unleashed titles, but he PUSHED THROUGH games there. He was a guy who could talk to execs, and he was a gamer. He got them to start up the "indie" program that resulted in Lucidity (a program that got immediately shut down after his exit). He got them to put Free Radical on the job for Battlefront III, a game they finished (and then execs decided not to release because they didn't want to spend a boatload marketing it. Something they obviously knew nothing about; Battlefront III sells itself). And he got them to develop their current gen game engine with Euphoria and Havoc and whatnot; an engine that looked great even 6 years ago when they were showing off the Xbox and PS3 version of Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings.
They don't have ANYONE there now who understands Dick about games. It's just execs and focus groups and some poor saps who believe Star Wars 1313 is a good idea. They need a completely different team there...
A good Boba Fett game would be like a dream come true.
star wars bounty hunter (or whatever the name was) was a great game on the ps2. probably one of my all time favorites. if they make another bounty hunter game i'll be so excited

It better be a good one this time. I have waited quite awhile for a new game worth playing from LucasArts.

I am kinda excited to hear about this. Haven't played a Star Wars game since Shadows of the Empire on N64.
