The lights are on
Steam, for the most part, is best known as a distributor of games. In fact, I would venture to say, that is all it is known for. Starting next month though, you will be able to grab Indie Game: The Movie.
This is the first time a full-length motion picture will be made available through the service, and leads to speculation that if the film's presence on Steam is a success, maybe we will see more movies. Click here to pre-order and save 10% on the movie right now, which releases on June 12th.
If you want to know more about Indie Game: The Movie, check out Ben Hanson's interview with the filmmakers where they discuss the release plans as well the special features that viewers can find on the physical DVD and Blu-Ray release.
Email the author Kyle Hilliard, or follow on Twitter, Google+, Facebook, and Game Informer.
Where it deserves to be.
Yay! I want to see this very badly, but couldn't convieniently before this!
Yes! I have been trying to see this. Will it only be available on steam or will it have a physical release also?
Can't edit my post but sorry I just went back and read the last sentence! I feel stupid.
I was an bit surprised when I saw this earlier today on Steam.
I was quite confused to see Steam tell me about this but it's pretty sweet that it's going to be on that platform because it makes sense.
Nice. I need to check this out.
YES! I've been dying to see this movie...
Well, thats fitting don't you think?.
That seems pretty cool, but I'm interested in the extra footage and special features. Dvd seems like the way to go for me. Pretty sure the Mega64 fake trailer is supposed to be on it.
Makes sense to have movies about games on the world's largest PC game distribution platform. I wonder if it will have a Midweek Madness sale or a Free Weekend, hehe.
I may have to look into preordering it. Everything GI has put out has piqued my interest.
