This would make a great movie, as long as the director has actualy played the game...

unless it's a minimalist art film this could be a disaster, get nicholas winding refn instead, he made valhalla rising which has similar aesthetics and is very artsy

I have a feeling that all of what makes Shadow of the Colossus great is not going to be in this movie. They're mad for even thinking about making it in the first place.

Its going to work if the director knows the game and it isn't just some director trying to make a quick buck. I never saw Chronicle so I can't tell if he's talented or not.

After seeing the way he made superhero movies good again, I'm going to support Josh Trank 120% until he proves otherwise.

Hmm...I'll be keeping an eye on this to see how it unfolds. Sounds promising enough but it's too early to tell.

Chronicle was okay, right? But I hope the gut can pull off something that doesn't have lots of dialogue or things exploding.

I have no hope for this film.  If it's being directed by a man who is currently making two superhero movies and has already made one previous, there is no way the film is going to represent the game accurately.  Big Fan was an alright film of his, but still is nothing like SoTC.

Interesting choice.  He wouldn't be on my list to direct Shadow of the Colossus, but he made me like hidden footage films, which I thought would be impossible, so we'll see.  I'd rather it be a good director not known for making something similar than a bad one known for visual effects.

Eh... this could go either way.If the director and studio sticks to source material then this could be good,but that's a big if.
