The lights are on
According to a new report, 'Chronicle' director Josh Trank has signed on with Sony Pictures to develop and direct a live-action Shadow Of The Colossus film.
Deadline.com says the studio is interviewing writers for the project. Trank is currently developing Fantastic Four for Fox and the Spider-Man spinoff Venom for Sony Pictures.
When asked for comment, a Sony Computer Entertainment representative said the company has nothing to report at this time. A Shadow of the Colossus movie has been talked about since 2009.

Hmm...I'll be keeping an eye on this to see how it unfolds. Sounds promising enough but it's too early to tell.
Chronicle was okay, right? But I hope the gut can pull off something that doesn't have lots of dialogue or things exploding.
I have no hope for this film. If it's being directed by a man who is currently making two superhero movies and has already made one previous, there is no way the film is going to represent the game accurately. Big Fan was an alright film of his, but still is nothing like SoTC.
Like a comment I read below, unless this is an art house film, this is surely going to be a blunder.
as long as he has played the game and understands the concept of it this movie should be fine... it will be interesting to see how it is done...
Interesting choice. He wouldn't be on my list to direct Shadow of the Colossus, but he made me like hidden footage films, which I thought would be impossible, so we'll see. I'd rather it be a good director not known for making something similar than a bad one known for visual effects.
My god Sony Pictures is such an epic failure.
this could be awesome!

Oh no...PLEASE DON'T RUIN THIS!!!
When asked for comment, a Sony Computer Entertainment representative said "Get the hell outta my bathroom! I'm trying to poop and I can't poop with you in here!! Go on! GET!".
