Some Characters For Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut Revealed

Nobody knows for sure what BioWare's Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut free DLC will entail, but some of the content's voice actors have signaled their participation.

Admiral Hackett (Lance Henriksen), EDI (Tricia Helfer), and Kaiden (Raphael Sbrage) will all be in the DLC, which contains additional scenes to flesh out the existing ending.

Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut comes out this summer.

  • Nah
  • I hope they don't change the ending but instead add to them. I feel that for better or for worst they should leave them as they are, I have no problem with them.
  • id assume ashley will be in it if kaiden died

  • Expansion was the best thing they could do. Now let's hope they don't retcon the original ending.

  • I too am hoping for a real indoctrination theory.

  • Mod

As much as I hated the ending, I'd rather Bioware stick with what they originally put in the game. They've put themselves in a lose-lose situation with this because not only is whatever they're adding not part of their original work and just seems like an afterthought, but them giving in like this makes them look like they weren't confident in their own work. Bioware should've just stuck with their (poorly written and done) guns.

  • bioware is walking a fine line here and unfort it might be lose-lose for them no matter what they do...only hope is to pick the "least-bad" option IMO, let's hope it's the "right" one. bioware was a trusted name for so long, sad to see it get watered down by mediocre experience like ME3, DA2, Old Republic etc..let's hope they can reshuffle and bring back the AWESOME that once was Bioware
  • Probably gonna turn out we've been in the Matrix the whole time and Sheperd's actual body is a three legged giraffe named Zippy who was given cognitive abilities by the wizard Xanthor from Castle Krusty Buns. Just stick with your guns Bioware, I didn't really enjoy DA2, or SWTOR so I would like if the one game in recent memory that I've immensely enjoyed went unchanged. I really think America just can't get over the hero dying at the end, in Japan I feel like there's gotta be at least three major deaths, including the main character or his love interest.
  • WOW!! SO admiral Hackett, Edi (Who has a 33% chance of not existing afterwards), and Kaiden!?

Because no one cared abotu Liara, The fate of the Krogan, the fate of the Geth or the fate of the Quarians.

Not to mention the fate of the Turians and Asari's who home world's were pretty much wiped out.

    Sweet though... Admiral Hackett!?

  • Kaiden? Ha that guy died back on Virmire.

  • Lets just stop with all the horrible deetz.  Even when trying to tell a more complete story they suck at it now.  Good thing they got rid of their best writers and kept the crap at bioware.

  • Liara where are you!!!

  • In my opinion the end was actually good so far, but taking into consideration that there are actually 2 games in which you play shepard fighting all the time against the reapers i wished ME3 ended with a screaming shepard ripping the reapers apart, not just such a ''calm'' ending. I think the DLC won't change anything.

  • I don't think adding more details to the ending is what this game needs. It needs to find a way to make all of your decisions leading UP to the end matter in a way that the player feels like it's "their" story. The way it is now, no matter who you killed, didn't kill, saved, started relationships with, etc. matter at all when it comes to how the game ends. Like why did I get emotionally attached to all these characters when I have NO say in their fate?
  • Nope, not Kaiden. He be dead.
  • I care less about hackett but i like edi so its a mini win win.

  • The ending will be good if they took into account the Indoctrination theory, check it out, makes the bad endings seem somewhat cool.
  • I hope this clears up all the plot holes and gives an epilogue just like what BioWare did with Dragon Age: Origins.
