HBO’s Game of Thrones Gets New Facebook Game
Playing the game of thrones is a dangerous proposition, and that axiom has held true in real life as playing a game based of the hit fantasy series usually leaves players more frustrated than entertained. Hopefully the upcoming Facebook game will be able to capture some of the franchise's thrill.
HBO has recently teamed up with Disruptor Beam, a developer of online social games, to make a game based on the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning television series.
According to Disruptor Beam, “In Game of Thrones Ascent players will lead the life of a noble during the time of upheaval as portrayed in the books and the series thus experiencing a new type of game that unites both story and strategy. Players will claim their birthright by choosing which of the great houses they'll swear allegiance to, securing their holdings, developing their lands and personal reputation, and assigning sworn swords to quests--while forging alliances with new friends and much more!”
