SEGA today confirmed it is delaying the release of Aliens: Colonial Marines until 2013. The good news is the game finally has a release date!

Aliens: Colonial Marines now ships on February 12, 2013 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. The planned Wii U version will have its release date announced at a later time.

“I am thrilled to announce the definitive launch date for Aliens: Colonial Marines,” said Randy Pitchford, President of Gearbox Software. “Aliens: Colonial Marines is the culmination of a life-time of inspiration from the films and relentless passion and drive from the exceptionally talented development team behind the scenes.”

SEGA also released a new trailer for the game. You can see it below.

  • Oh come on, this game is never gonna be released!

  • seriously. again!

  • Poodoo.  I'm really looking forward to this game.

  • this looks legit.

i'd be interested to see an Alien game without FPS next.

  • WTF!!!! I've been waiting since F@#&ing 2008!!!!! It's still gonna be awesome though.

  • 2008-2013 5 years too long.
  • One of the best trailers I've seen in a long time. Makes the waiting even harder!

  • I've come up with the conclusion that this game will never release.

  • O COME ON!!! This game has been delayed like 5 times already. Come on gearbox... do you guys really want an other Duke Nukem Forever to happen?!?!?! I really hope that this is the last delay. Cuz like I just said, I dont want an other Duke Nukem Forever thing to occur.
  • Aw come on!!Well I hope this get's the best polish it can get.

  • I guess the best thing you can do for fans when you delay a game is to release a trailer.

  • i say this as a completely biased fan of anything related to the Aliens series...... this game is gonna be amaaaaazing!!!

  • Randy Pitchford always sounds so passionate and full of life in his announcements and interviews, certainly a man who is oozing passion for his craft.  And I can finally say this without guilt, for I am excited for one of their games! (Borderlands 2) :)

  • If every game is moved to 2013, the only one that will come out this year is Call of Duty lol. Its kind of a sad state of affairs, that all these games have to move to 2013 to avoid like 3-4 games that will completely dominate. The middle tier is really dying.

  • I wonder how many marines will be in it...

  • I expect all games to be delayed now. That way if a game isn't delayed, it's a nice surprise that brightens my day!

  • I see it! I almost, wth!!! Another delay? -_-

  • The release date may be far off (albeit ridiculously) but I'll definitely be on the lookout for this game in the future.

  • Nice.  Keep taking the time to making this game amazing!
