Some Characters For Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut Revealed

Nobody knows for sure what BioWare's Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut free DLC will entail, but some of the content's voice actors have signaled their participation.

Admiral Hackett (Lance Henriksen), EDI (Tricia Helfer), and Kaiden (Raphael Sbrage) will all be in the DLC, which contains additional scenes to flesh out the existing ending.

Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut comes out this summer.

  • I really hope the indoctrination theory is real! :(
  • I think they are handling it the right way. Not, "changing," the ending but offering more. Three games of warring with these characters, only to see them walk into a jungle in silence. Interestingly open, but I just wanna know: Does my shepherd have a kid?!
  • PS: I hope no more developers get so affected by their uber-dork fanbase. If we were artists, WE would be producing art.
  • Get outta here, Kaiden!
  • I really liked the ending, was hard my first time through. Very depressing but I enjoy thinking about it.
  • I read somewhere that the extended cut would be released in the fall, not summer. Can anyone confirm this?
  • Tali better make an appearance!
  • I'm mixed on this. Since I've played through the endings, I've discussed varying ideas and theories with friends of mine. We've all come to our own conclusions on the endings, and speaking for myself now - I'm at peace with how I've interpreted the endings, as they were originally presented. Now that Bioware will be releasing an "official" extended cut, there is a good chance that the information presented will conflict with what I've come to accept as "my ending". Now I've got another choice to make - experience the "canon" extended ending information, OR accept my own interpretations, which as I said, I'm content with. Tough choice....
  • I'm sure everyone will wind up having additonal screen time in the DLC. One of the "issues" the angry mob had was that they didn't feel there was enough closure with their squadmates. I'm hoping they still leave the ending open-ended though. Whether Shepard lives or dies.
  • Already sold my copy. I'll Youtube the extended cut.
  • I recently found out how there might be endings in the game as it is that are different from the main three endings we're all familiar with, like where the earth it's actually destroyed by the reapers and such. Currently working through a tech based Shepard through the the games to see if I can get it, hope to do so before this dlc comes out.
  • It wont be anything special. Bioware = dead.
  • This is gonna be nice. I liked the original ending, but it did leave some to be desired. It was classical Sci-Fi ending, which fit. But the ability to see more, and experience more of the story is something that I'll always want from ME. I'm just waiting for some gameplay DLC that isn't made for multi-player.
  • EA/Bioware messed this up who care anymore DEAD
  • So, if Kaiden is in the ending, it is safe to assume Ashley will be as well.

  • I love this franchise and I look forward to getting more from it

  • If you're okay with the ending as it is, STOP COMMENTING YOU STUPID F***S
  • what?  Flesh in the Extended Cut!  Woo hoo happy ending!!!!!!!!

  • You know?, I'm just happy for more Mass Effect.
