Pokemon Black And White 2 Animated Intro

There's lots to see, but little to hear if you don't speak Japanese in Pokemon Black and White 2's animated introduction.

It's got a much higher quality of animation than the Pokemon television series, plenty of Pokemon on Pokemon action, rocking guitars, baseball caps, and a girl wearing glasses that don't have any lenses in them. She's basically wearing a wire on her face.

Pokemon Black and White 2 are coming out next month in Japan, and we should see localized versions of the two games in North America in the fall.

  • First.. But seriously, it looks...Okay.
  • first to complain about how much better the previous generations were
  • MEH! And ^, you just failed. Epicly.
  • I like this a lot. Now if only they'd put this kind of effort into an anime for Pokemon, or get some cool cutscenes like this in game.
  • I'm glad that they waited more than a year to release this. Ever since Platinum, I was getting sort of burnt out by how often they release these games.

  • This has been up for a while. I'm so excited for this game.

  • years of watching Naruto and One Piece w. subtitles have paid off, as i understood 3 Japanese words in that trailer.
  • AWESOME!!!

  • Cool opening though I don't speak japanese. Funny since this is the one Pokemon region where it'd make more sense if everyone was speaking english.
  • Wow, for once, grunts pokemon dont suck!

  • Am I the only one who read 'pokemon on pokemon action' the wrong way? 0-0
  • Why can't the show be this interesting? I can't take the actual anime seriously, wish they'd drop the whole teem rocket and meowth crap IMO.
  • Can't wait for the American release this fall or winter.

  • I don't know what's going on - I just know that dude has a wicked ribbon thing coming out of his head. Then I thought I was watching an episode of Naruto. These Japanese, man - they're crazy with their jumping abilities. I'm surprised they haven't taken over the world yet.
  • If they made the anime look this interesting, I might actually watch it again.

  • he got amazing tration on ice

  • The scene at 4:37 looks vaguely familiar....

Oh, I know. Take out what that Pokemon is, put in Mewtwo, and it looks dead on like a move Mewtwo uses in the first Pokemon movie.

Also, this video sums up all the reason I no longer like Pokemon. It's gotten too Japanese for me. The Pokemon just look, out there now and so do the characters. I hate when guys start to look like girls in anime :/.

I also find it hard to relate the new Pokemon to any real life animals anymore and that was one of my favorite things about the originals.
  • This is how the anime should be.
  • O.O (Begins to slowly clap) Now this is the Pokemon I know and love, if they were to make a new series based of off this game i'll watch the hell out of it, no the have to make it Ash can go to hell for all I care. KH 3d and this game are my reason to finally get a 3ds.
  • Honestly, I don't love this. It's certainly exciting (Lucario and Arcanine ftw) and visually impressive, but it just doesn't... feel right. It doesn't feel like Pokémon.

This actually really reminds me of action-focused anime for teenage boys: things like Naruto and Bleach. Those things are fine, but that's not what Pokémon is. Optimistic, free-spirited, adventurous: those are the things that define Pokémon, and I got very little of them out of that video.

Maybe it would help if I knew what they are saying. Oh well. Still totally psyched for this game.

Also, Kyle, I'll have you know that the new season of Pokémon looks FANTASTIC in HD. :D
