Remember shortly after Diablo III was officially unveiled when fans were upset about how colorful the game looked?
Possibly as a response to those early criticisms, Blizzard hid Whimsyshire, a world full of smiley clouds, rainbows, and enemy unicorns, in the game. Fans (the ones who have been able to play) have discovered the level only a few days after Diablo III's Tuesday launch.

Stupid song to put to this clip. It isn't funny whatsoever and doesn't remotely fit with the tone of Whimsyshire.
I am one of the few that was disappointed with the lack of Gothic and dark tones in the transition to 3D (also the the streamlining of the leveling system) but after learning about this I have to say one thing about Blizzard: they got balls! And for that I give them respect.
I would probably do something similar too if Diablo were my baby and ppl were spazing out at my choices. "You don't like the colors?? here choke on em!!!" beautiful.
Hey Blizzard if you guys can patch in some Carebears and Pokemon in this level I will totally go on a murdering spree. PLEASE PUT THEM IN!!!!
I love it when developers do stuff like this. It's like the haters are saying "Can it get any more pansy" and Blizzard is like "Hmmm.... sounds like a challenge to me."
