2K Games and Gearbox have announced an assortment of goodies for those pre-ordering the title or springing for either of the game's two collector's editions.

Anyone who pre-orders any of the game's three versions (standard, Deluxe Vault Hunter's Collector's Edition, or the Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition) also gets access to the Borderlands 2 Premier Club (above):

Gearbox Gun Pack (collection of unique guns)
Golden Key (unlocks a rare in-game item in the Golden Sanctuary Loot Chest)
Vault Hunter's Relic (boosts your gear-hunting fortune)
The Mechromancer Character Class (available after launch. Can also be purchased if you do not pre-order the game)

The "Deluxe Vault Hunter's Collector's Edition" is the one for me... Just kidding! "Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition" is what I'll be unwrapping come September 18! I guess I'll need to head out to GameStop to upgrade my pre-order.

It looks like they changed the box art even if you get the regular version of the game? It looks a lot better than the red cover they had before

Looks like the Ultimate Loot Chest for me, although I really dislike the steel game cases, makes it stand out from my collection and I wish they would of done what Fallout New Vegas did by just putting the game (original cover art and plastic green box) in the box instead of creating a whole new box. And I wish the fifth class, The Mechromancer was available at release. At least its free with pre-ordering the game though. Cant Wait.

Edit: And according to gamestop you get also get the Creature Slaughter Dome bonus (my guess is something similar to Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot) if you preorder Borderlands 2 from them along with the Premiere Club. Just throwing that out there as well.

See, what'd stop me from get the $150 is the fact that I have no idea what the Chest is made out of - I'd guess cardboard. Which means I don't want it. But that's just me.
