Reader Discussion: Tell Us Your E3 Predictions

E3 2012 is coming up next month, and we want to know what you think is going to happen. What is going to be announced, or perhaps more importantly, what isn't going to be announced? Will Half-Life 3, or Episode 3 suddenly appear? Will everyone's press conferences be free of embarrassing post-show animated gifs? Or will there be so many that the Internet will break from meme overload?

We want to know what you think is going to happen in June.

  • GTA 5 !!!!!!! . Also hopefully some actual games are shown for the Wii U
  • GTAV release in fall, renaming of the WiiU, and /hopefully/ some Bungie news.
  • Fallout 4 will be announced, and my head will implode from sheer awesomeness.
  • Assassins Creed 3, The Last of Us, more Halo 4 stuff, Tomb Raider, The Elder Scrolls Online, Crysis 3, COD Black Ops 2, hopefully Battlefield 4, and plenty of more fantastic titles that i can't think of right now because there are just so many
  • Nintendo will show off something stupid and everyone will think it's the greatest thing ever.
  • At least 1 new console announcement.
  • Pikmin 3 and other WiiU games. Calling it now, Pikmin 3 as the July cover. Hey, I can dream. Also the Persona 3ds title along with localization for Fire Emblem: Awakening, Pandora's Tower and Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers.
  • "Will Half-Life 3, or Episode 3 suddenly appear?"

    No, they won't!

  • playstation all-stars battle royale CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I think Nintendo will have the best press conference. I want to see Star Wars Battlefront 3 and Battalion Wars 3 announced.
  • Gabe Newell will rise out of the ground on the show floor, be hoisted up, say "Hello!" and then descend back down.
  • Im hoping for MGS5 to be announced.
  • Not sure. I'll be watching on G4 and Spike, but the only games I care about in the immediate future, are Halo 4 and Borderlands 2, both of which we have a lot of info on already. Although, my wish would be for Bioware to announce Jade Empire 2.
  • Stuff's gonna be announced but im not sure if we're gonna here anything regarding a next-gen console. I hope to hear more halo 4, assassins creed 3, the last of us and Tomb raider.

  • More PS3/Vita functionality in preparation for the Wii U's showing. Maybe some upcoming titles that allow the use of Vita control on the PS3.
  • Of course were going to see a lot of new trailers, games soon to come, new improvements on the systems, and such as  that. But I dare say, taht we might have hints and teases of new counsels to come out. This is just a guess, but I could imagine. Also, i am hoping that we are getting to see some cool guests, and exciting surprises that no one will see coming. Here's hoping to an awesome E3,

  • Im thinking nintendo shows off whatever that Wii-U Zelda game was. Halo 4 gameplay footage is a given for Microsoft. For Sony, probably some for Move games we wont want. Though I am curious as to that Magic game that's on the way.
  • Onimusha 5 and Onimusha HD Collection, Dino Crisis 4 or the reboot of Dino Crisis series, Gamecube Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil 1 Bound to PS3, Jak & Daxter 4, GTA HD Collection.
  • EA will try to make the new Medal of Honor look good.

Bungie may hopefully have something to show for their new project

Microsoft will decorate the floor with Halo 4 because that's really all they have this year, sadly. (not dissing Halo 4 in any way, I'm really excited for the details just referring to MS's change in publishing as of late)

I'm begging Ubisoft has another strong showing like last years

Take-Two/2k/Rockstar will probably own the show floor in terms of interesting titles, especially if GTA5 is shown - highly likely.

EA will announce a new website that will increase the amount of online-pass, on-disc DLC and simply held back content like Gun Club. They'll also spend half their press conference showing "inspirational videos" of paid-celebrities who no ones ever heard of playing FIFA or Madden. Not to mention actual NFL players overacting. And 95% of the people who actually play those games won't be watching the conferences anyway, rendering the presentation a colossal waste of money and time.

I'm curious as to what Sony has planned, they'll have my attention the most in terms of console publisher press conferences.

Capcom has me in for Lost Planet 3, I hope there's something good there.

And maybe, just maybe. We'll see an interesting new RPG or RPS.
  • Prediction: Retro and Nintendo will announce the next 2D Metroid (I hope! I hope! I hope!)
