As someone who purchased Call of Duty Elite at the very beginning, I can say without reservation that it has been and is complete garbage. I'll never do it again, for CoD or Battlefield. Having early access to multiplayer maps is great, but unless you want to leave behind half of your clan (who didn't pony up the $50) or hector them to buy Elite (awkward) you're stuck until the map pack is released. Add to that the crappy, uneven implementation of map pack content across game types (would it Activision to include HARDCORE TDM as a option?) and MW3 has done the near impossible: taken a winning CoD franchise and turned gold into suck. Battlefield, don't go there. Just don't.

i saw some comments about the quoted lines and laughed. kinda makes you wonder if "Battlefieldo" is a valid source to draw off, seeing as they got the game and service completely wrong.

Same old EA -_- Following the activision route, except doing it in a more evil way. Yet another franchise they ruined! BF3 is nowhere as good as previous battlefield games.

I read the headline and shook my head in disgust. It's one thing to have a pay service... but to say that they want to copy ELITE? Ridiculous. NO ONE should ever copy ELITE. It shouldn't be hard to surpass and bury it, actually.

I care less about this and more about the fact that it's been 7 months and still no substantial DLC. I'm aware of their plans to release the DLC, but it's been far too long, the exact reason that Bad Company 2 sales and online players dropped.

EA and DICE said numerous times that they realized lack of a decent DLC timeline is where they went wrong, yet it's happened again. For as much as I love Battlefield, I've lost interest. There's only so many times I can play on the same maps over a seven month span before I can't stand the sight of them anymore.

Well, they already had Battlelog but ok. If were on the issue of EA copying Elite, then lets not forget where Elite copied. Bungie.net. Everything except for the money scam is the same as Bungie.net. Well, I should say was. Either way, Bungie did have the same thing that Elite did. Just one difference, no DLC or money was used. Custom classes were not a part of Halo so I do not classify that as a difference.

I want new maps, vehicles, and weapons; not some little aesthetic content pack. Hopefully these are just what you get for signing up, not the actual meat of the service.

Premium service? EA? Not a rumor. True. It's EA! Besides that, DICE are too much of a pussy developer to say no to EA.

Is this all people do on this site anymore??? Complain all day about dumb stuff like this. EA is not that bad!! Gaming used to be a fun topic. I don't know why people have to fight over everything. Games are supposed to bring us together to have fun, not to segregate us into different categories of one person doing one thing compared to another. Theres way too much hate happening on this site, regardless of who its aimed at.
