Is This What Beyond Good & Evil 2 Looks Like?

Ubisoft has been slow to release info about the follow up to its 2003 cult hit Beyond Good & Evil, but an early video of the game might have just leaked.

There’s not a lot to go on here, but Unseen64 is running the following video claiming that it’s prototype footage of the game’s environments. Whatever it is, it looks like someone spent a lot of time on it. What do you think? Could this be legit? Are you still looking forward to a Beyond Good & Evil sequel?

    The helicopter looks like that leaked footage from a few years back, and the aesthetic (cows, etc.) seems to match the original leak, as well. I say they're legitimate, but they're a long way from completion.

    Only thing that seems odd to me (could be overthinking this) is why would you animate the birds, but not let the cows or people (the few that there are) move a little bit. Just odd to me

    This is a pretty significant departure from the first game's art style but I can't complain - it looks quite impressive.

    Of course I'm still looking forward to Beyond Good & Evil 2! But there really isn't anything about that video to make me think that someone didn't just make that in their freetime.

    Very impressive, but I'm confused as to why they decided to show off a bathroom. I hope we won't be spending too much time in one... >_<

    "Are you still looking forward to a Beyond Good & Evil sequel?" Uh, duh. **** YES, is the answer, and the ONLY answer:) Beyond Good and Evil 2 was a really good game with a fresh art direction and great gameplay. Perhaps most importantly, FANTASTIC CHARACTERS - something no "big budget/big publisher" game these days care about providing. Johnny Shooter Hero No.412 is a disposable, forgettable moron whose best contribution to a "story" are a couple one liners...and unfortunately for all of us, EVERY BIG BUDGET GAME nowadays is a shooter. Even "RPG's" like Mass Effect. Ugh. BGE2 is not only destined for greatness thanks to Michel Ancel's track record, but it's also one of the first "next gen" games there will be. Everything about it will be impressive. This is honestly the only reason I want the next gen to come at all.

    Ahh, I really hope so! I'm still in the process of finishing the original. I'm absolutely love it too. =D

    It looks nice. I've been on the fence about getting Beyond Good and Evil HD but if this game looks like it's shaping up nicely then I'll be sure to buy so i'll be ready by release.
