The lights are on
Capcom predicts sales of Resident Evil 6 will top 7 million units in its upcoming fiscal year and become the best-selling game in the company's history.
The projections were revealed during Capcom's latest earnings release, where the company also expects to sell 2 million units of Devil May Cry, 1.5 million of Dragon's Dogma, and 1.4 million of Lost Planet 3.
Capcom's current best-selling game is the Super Nintendo version of Street Fighter II with 6.3 million units sold. Resident Evil 5 is second sold 5.8 million units. Christian Svensson of Capcom U.S.A said Resident Evil 6 is already off to the best start in the franchise's history.
you expect good sales.....well i expect a better game then RE5.....lets not disappoint eachother
I think the phrase "praying for" would be more accurate than "expects."
While I can see it selling well (probably as well if not slightly better than RE5), I'm doubtful about 7 million units. That's quite a jump, and I'm not sure if RE6 is tweaking the formula enough to generate that much extra interest.
Give us less action and more horror and they'll have nothing to worry about.
Sure, as long as it doesn't play like 5 or Raccoon city
I played the Dragon's Dogma demo and it was kinda terrible. I was pretty bummed out about it. I know it's a demo, but I don't think that much will change when it drops. RE6 will be amazing.
well, after Revelations, I'm expecting big things from RE6. I'll definitely be buying a copy, so they're guarateed at least one sale!
I would not be surprised.
Count me in, one of the two franchises I'll always buy. MGS
well, I should hope so.
I am buying this no matter what.
.. I would have bought MegaMan Legends 3-- BUT NO! Apparently we fans didn't click enough options for his armor on their website. F@CK OFF Capcom.. I used to love you, but you have changed..
I will only buy this if Capcom brings it back to the horror. I played the first 3, loved them. Then lost interest. Then played Revelations, and wanted to break my skull against a wall.
