Ubisoft released a new trailer for Assassin's Creed III giving you a good look at the game's impressive-looking environments and battles. In this latest trailer, which was teased earlier this week, fans see Connor battle Red Coats, leap from tree to tree as he stalks his next target, and even evade an aggressive bear.

The setting doesn't resonate with me at an artistic level. Can't top the beautiful old European architecture and sexy mid-east domes. Wish they did a Mayan setting instead, cool rainforests, giant step-pyramids, cities with strange architecture like nothing in the west, some colonial Templars.
I'm going with Dishonored instead, fresh new dark world, cool magic powers to combine in lethal ways.

I may just turn in my copy of Revelations towards this. I hope they actually give us side missions and FUN things to do instead of trying to make it look cool. Because when all the main story missions are done I should have a reason to keep playing.

It would be pretty smart to leave online out of this and keep it exclusively for Revelations, that way the previous game won't lose value to the players.

Man, every time I see depictions of warfare from this era - lines of men standing up straight with no cover whatsoever trading volleys - my stomach turns... Looking at the smooth action of the new engine for AC3 however, makes me smile.

That trailer was awesome, even without sound. This is one of the few Assassin's Creed games I'd be interested in playing.

The combat looks stunning. I especially liked the close-quarters rifle/bayonet fighting.

As soon as I have the money to spare I'm pre-ordering this game for sure.

That was absolutely amazing! A very balanced trailer that shows off the new leading man, the gorgeous engine & animation, and many new gameplay elements. Well done Ubisoft, I'm glad the wait after the teaser wasn't long. :) Particular highlights are the rope dart at the beginning, the way Connor handles multiple opponents near the end, and of course that active assassination finish.
