Vita Getting Whitewashed In Japan

The Vita has been out for a while now, which means it's about time for Sony to unleash the cavalcade of color options for the handheld system. First up is Crystal White, which is, well, white.

The version of the system will be available June 28, and will sell in Japan at the standard price. In August, a special limited-edition Hatsune Miku bundle is coming, which adds a copy of the Next Hatsune Miku Project Diva game, a 4GB memory card, and more. It'll cost ¥39,800 (about $497.50) or ¥34,980 (about $437.25), depending on whether you spring for the 3G or Wi-Fi version.

There's no word on whether these will be coming stateside. The system is region free, however, which makes it an appealing choice if you're into importing.

  • I like my black one better

  • Why cant they just make one in matte black.I cant stand all the fingerprints on my Psp and dust. Also you can grip it better first thing I did was run out and buy a silicon grip for my old one.The white does look nice though cant wait for a God of War version and game with it.

  • I'm wondering if this will hit NA. You'd think, but you can never be sure about these things. Those bundles are pricey as hell though, I wonder why? Surely it can't be the Diva game?

The color looks as good as the black one, but I'm not sure I want it. I'll probably stick with the default color.

  • Looks nice, but it will probably become a dirty tan in no time (white plastics are always made cheap for devices like this.)

  • yep they will do it!

  • when will the white one come out it looks nice

  • I want to get Project Diva f so badly :( when it comes out I'm gonna get it!

  • Can't wait! It's coming out in America with the Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation bundle. (Midnight Premere? OH YAH!)
