Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD Coming In June

Tony Hawk is riding back onto the console scene with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD, and we won't have to wait much longer to get our hands on it. Hawk recently tweeted that the downloadable game will be dropping this June.

In the tweet, he thanked Joshua Tsui, Robomodo president (the studio behind Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD), for donating to a clean water charity and for supporting the Tony Hawk franchise. Then he revealed the June date, perhaps unofficially.

Of course, a lot can happen in the bizarre world of downloadable games, including game-delaying certification hangups. We're waiting to hear back from Activision on the date, and we'll let you know when we hear anything.

In the meantime, check out our preview on the game.

  • Excellent! cannot wait to play this.

  • already got points ready to spend on it. now tell me how much it is

  • Love these games!

  • Cool beans.

  • Does this game still have any relevance?  I seriously doubt it.  May we stop receiving articles and updates regarding this game?

  • I hope this one can actually be played with a controller. The skateboard had a really bad lag.

  • Either this if gonna be Tony's gaming rebirth, or another nail in his already deeply buried game coffin. . .

  • 'yes!

  • Yay! About time! ... now what about Jet Grind Radio?!

  • This game's going to be great for the nostalgia effect and not much more. It will be cool playing through again, but without Spider-Man, Iron-Man, Wolverine, other licensed characters, ALL of the maps and the entirety of the soundtrack to skate to, it won't feel the same. I'm going to buy this, and it will suffice just to have, and play once in a while, but it will not outshine any of the upcoming Mass Effect and Arkham City DLC, or any other new release for that matter.

  • me remember friend old ps2 tony hawk's.

  • I can't wait, whenever it does actually drop.

  • this would be the perfect game on ps3 for a custom soundtrack feature Activision!
