Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson was chosen to be on the cover of Madden NFL 13. This is what it looks like.
Madden 13 is out on August 28.

What is with all the negativity in the comments below? I think it's awesome Megatron won the cover over the hype machine Newton. Megatron has been putting in work for years. He deserves this recognition. As for the Madden curse, pfft whatever, it doesn't always happen.
lol I don't see what's so bad about the cover; not only is Megatron on the cover but Ford Field and the Ren Cen are included. A good look for Detroit...but I know haters are gonna hate. Detroit FTW! :)
they should make all 32 team covers and you pick your team and that would bring more fans to it...

Ehh... this is easily the most horrible Madden cover I've seen.
This is the only cover that doesn't have the ball in it (Starting in 2001) except for Ray Lewis in 2005. This is definitely THE WORST Madden cover in a long while.

It's great to see them reward talented players with covers of video games. Especially when he plays for your hometown. I'm excited to get to play with the non sucky Detroit Lions in this years edition.
