Spec Ops: The Line Demo Now Available

We're about a month-and-a-half from Spec Ops: The Line's June 26 release, but you can get a free look at the game a little early. A demo has been launched today on Xbox Live and Playstation Network, and it focuses on two early chapters in the single-player campaign.

The demo is only available to Xbox Live Gold members at this time, but it will open up to everyone with an internet connection on May 15.

Let us know what you think of the demo in the comments below.

  • I dunno what to say about it...don't have it yet lol
  • SO
  • This game looks like it could be really fun, and I am aquainted with sand quite often. I'm going to have to download this after school

  • Don't Have it yet.. so can't say anything about it :D

  • Nice.  I'll download it and see what it's all about.

  • Every distraction from now until the 15th is a welcome one. Beyond that, I'd really like to feel for myself how this game is going to control. Looking a bit stilted from gameplay demos, along the lines of Socom, but I have always been a fan of those titles regardless. Crossing my fingers on Yager's behalf.
  • I'm really happy to check out the demo. All the trailers have been extremely appealing and cannot wait to see this for myself.

  • I'm def gonna check it out. Wanta see what this game is all about

  • I've been looking forward to this game's emotive horror promise, so this I'll be downloading this as soon as possible.  Hopefully this early chunk will have enough shocking moments to give potential buyers a feel for what the game really is, and not get distracted by too much somber build up.  Looking forward to it! :)

  • I'll rent it. Hype keeps showing its face around, but I haven't been impressed by anything I've seen. On the other side, some people claim for it to be focusing on good things. Don't know, will try the demo soon.

  • I've been on the border for this one. It really doesn't seem that interesting, but demos are always a nice way of knowing if a game could be worth it or not.
  • i'll download the demo. that may put my skepticism to rest

  • I really like it. Seems like a more fun version of socom

  • as always no pc demo *** em diablo 3 is gonna be 10x times better than this anyway
  • I've been looking forward to this game since its first trailer years ago. This will be intresting.

  • I actually Enjoyed the demo. I had some minor issues with the controls at first, but after all it is just a demo. The Command option is pretty cool u just select what target you want to get rid of and your team does the rest. The computer AI is pretty crafty. They will often stay back and fight from cover, but there are times when they try to sneak up on you. I also like some of the takedowns you can do in melee combat. All in all its a pretty Decent game from what the Demo shows. I say go Downloaded and try it you might like it!
  • Wait wtf? There is no PC demo :(

  • So it's a console cover shooter with a military story? Pass...
  • While I am for more innovative, out of the box shooters, I'm not sure this will be the one.
