The lights are on
It seems that the level of entertainment players receive from Draw Something might be drawing pretty thin at this point.
Only a few months ago, Draw Something seemed like the hottest app on the market. Now, the Pictionary-like mobile app is loosing players by the millions. Zynga bought Draw Something creator OMGPOP for nearly $200 million in March, but according to BBC News, WebMediaBrands data suggests that almost five million daily users have abandoned the game over the past month.
I know I stopped playing, and went back to Infinity Blade II. What are you playing on your phone right now?
Email the author Ben Reeves, or follow on Twitter, Google+, Facebook, and Game Informer.
It blows because you can't log into your account. I KNOW I'm not the only person with this problem. Being a hater of the corporate ploy that is Facebook, i chose to play Draw Something with an email, and it constantly says invalid login info, when i know for a fact it is correct. I have read many forums on this, no one can solve it, accept for OMGPOP themselves, who seem to not give a crap, especially considering it was fine UNTIL the update. Ridiculous. Thank god for Mass Effect draw something can suck it
I used to adore that sport on my galaxy telephone, then I've each a iphone and its horible on that cellphone so I have not tried once more considering. I detest my apple iphone current market compared to your android market.
I loved it, but wanted more from it - like leaderboards (weekly and monthly), be able to post my amazing (**) drawings to FB or Twitter... I like simple concepts, but this one forgot to promote itself through boards and social connections.
Plus, I hate Zynga with a passion. Selfish bastards. I also stopped playing when they bought it. Hope it burns, Zynga
I'm still playing it, but there's not much to the game, which is why I'll probably stop soon
All of those mobile games lose steam eventually. Unless the developers are willing to give it updates or make sequels, people will stop caring. Reason why I believe mobile games could never take the place of actual full length video games.
I still play this whenever someone else sends me a drawing. But lately I've been playing Pandemic 2.5. I've eradicated the Earth several times since yesterday and I can't stop O_O
My wife and I still play it, but my interest has been waning as of late.
I am a statistic.
Really? They bought form them? Okay for one thing. Zynga has some bad games and stuff. Maybe if it gets suckier I'll uninstall this app and go back to playing Temple run on my Droid phone.
I own www.drawsomethingcheats.com which was at the number 1 rank in Google in 2 months and can unfortunately agree that millions of players stopped playing gradually.
The site at its highest point had 65.000 daily visits and is now not even remotely close to that.
I dont think it will pick up again but I hope Zynga has a good synergi in store for their next game.
rofl XD
I am absolutly the worst Draw something player ever so im glad people will stop bothering my tablet
