Millions Stop Playing Draw Something

It seems that the level of entertainment players receive from Draw Something might be drawing pretty thin at this point.

Only a few months ago, Draw Something seemed like the hottest app on the market. Now, the Pictionary-like mobile app is loosing players by the millions. Zynga bought Draw Something creator OMGPOP for nearly $200 million in March, but according to BBC News, WebMediaBrands data suggests that almost five million daily users have abandoned the game over the past month.

I know I stopped playing, and went back to Infinity Blade II. What are you playing on your phone right now?

  • im sure it happened when they made people choose the "allow us to post to facebook as you" or stop playing. i chose stop playing. they updated again a couple weeks later but a lot of people probably just didnt go back.

  • I played the hangman equivalent for a day back in March and realized that it was going to last a month or two before everyone got bored of it. Just like Jellycar, Doodlejump, Angry birds, Tiny wings, Temple Run. I still think Reign of Swords is the best game on the store. For those who don't know, it's like Fire Emblem, but with a simple story.

  • Eh draw something just got boring.  I'm playing minecraft.

  • For shame, "loosing"

But I never played this anyway. It seemed too blah

  • I'm playing Jetpack Joyride now, considering that there is an update

  • im waiting for my list of peeps to draw something back... i still play...=\

  • i just started playing elemental. I'm addicted to that. but no phone game has managed to keep my attention for long.

  • I played it once in the weekend and thought it was amazing then by Monday I was sick of it

  • OMGPOP got a lucky break. Zynga lost nearly $200 million.

  • I started playing fruit ninja again

  • I just Stumble upon stuff and manage my MyIGN account from my phone.

  • "loosing players" -_-

  • Hah! Some people these days. Mobile gaming will not replace consoles. Almost everyone wants to play console games, and mobile games can't be as technologically advanced as console games, thus making them more buggy and only focusing on one thing (most mobile games, that is). Consoles will NOT become obselete.

  • Never even tried Draw Something. I'd like to get Infinity Blade though, I've heard good things about that game.

  • I know that at least the free version, there isn't many new drawings.  After a couple of days playing there starts to be repeats.  One that I am amazed still has my attention is Jetpack Joyride.  I have had it for months and am still playing it.

  • I still play. I suck at word games (word w/ friends, scramble w/ friends). I am running out of people to play. Booo to abandoners.
  • Jetpack Joyride is what I'm throwing down.

  • I played it, then stopped. Honestly, I've never been much of a person for playing games on my phone. I actually like to catch up on the news if I have the time

  • Its because you draw the same stuff over and over again maybe they release ALOT more words

  • It's cause they don't update the thing with new features... I think they only did that once and the features weren't even that major.
