The lights are on
Bethesda has announced the official name of Skyrim's first set of DLC.
Dawnguard is Skyrim's first DLC, according to Bethesda's Blog. It announced the name of the DLC with the image you see above, and not much else, other than a summer release window. We don't know a date, or anymore details, but Bethesda has previously announced that Skyrim DLC will head to Xbox 360 first.
We will find out more about Dawnguard at this year's E3.

He took arrows to the back!

Well, from the little info provided, I have no guess what the DLC will be about.
Time to break out the ol' Daedric armor and mount up shadowmere...
Great, now if only I could play it for more than 30 minutes without my game freezing still!
Wow....I had heard a theory on a podcast that Microsoft would be making a big deal of this since they had the exclusive rights to the DLC first and we would see a big announcement at E3...I thought it sounded like a good theory....turns out the theory is correct.

Interesting.
Nice, I'll definitely be getting this DLC when it hits the PSN. Gotta agree with "The Juice" about how Bethesda does DLC releases the right way for their games. IMO Bethesda has the best DLC for their games out of all the game companies. I think they killed it with their DLC for Fallout 3 & NV. I wish the other companies would follow in their footsteps when making DLC for their games.
Heck yeah!!! Is it E3 yet?
Excellent news, definitely something to look forward to come June. And I can actually smile at the 360 getting this first, as I still have to start the game again and spend some time before getting to any DLC. As for what might be in store in the piece, the name 'Dawnguard' with the early morning light in the background looks like a setup for you joining this faction, I'm not familiar with the larger Elder Scrolls lore so I don't know if they are already an established group. Though I wonder why the focus on those arrows, they don't look like crossbow bolts so it can't be a confirmation for that weapon.
Like this game needs any more content. I swear, I thought Mass Effect's citadel was bad. Every single person in this game has some freakin' errand for me to do for them.
And of course, I insist on doing every single one.
Ok now this must have something to do with vampires. Now that we know it *is* Dawnguard, an that stuff about new vampire animations in the code, then it seems to me like some powerful vampire faction is going to rise and the Dovahkiin will either be with or against them. It'd also explain how the Snow Elf prince is still around if he's a vampire. If its gonna be new landmass my money as of now is on Morrowind; it's east of Skyrim.
Overwhelmed With Info!
I think I might need to start another game of Skyrim. I got pretty far in the game, but I never finished it. I could continue from where I was, but I really think I might just start over. Although, my sneakthief is pretty ***.
FInally some DLC for Skyrim.
Maybe the Dawnguard is a guard that gets revenge by using his crossbow and shooting everybody in the knee. Maybe they'll add greaves to the game just for that reason
