Angry Birds Space Downloaded More Than 50 Million Times

Fans can't get enough of the angry avians.

It took only 35 days for Angry Birds Space to cross the 50 million download threshold, which Rovio says makes it the fastest growing mobile game to date.

That's nearly two weeks faster than OMGPOP's Draw Something, the previous trendsetter. But for Rovio, this isn't all about the numbers.

"While numbers like this certainly say something about the popularity of Angry Birds, for us the main goal is to keep creating fun new experiences that everybody can enjoy," Rovio said on its blog.
