Do You Understand This Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Live-Action Teaser?

Konami released the full 90-second, live-action teaser video for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. It still explains very little.

As teased last week, the video shows a man being experimented on and injected with various things. We still don't know much about the person involved, but there's going to be two more videos, so hopefully things get cleared up soon.

The official website for the game also updated with a command prompt, allowing users to input key words or phrases. Have you found any that work? Let us know in the comments below.

  • Of course I understand it. What's not to understand? It's so simple and straightforward... XD
  • If you type in Ray you get something awesome!
  • Wow.....very weird marketing for this game.
  • Well that's definitely Raiden. It looks like he can now suck blood back into his body. That's pretty awesome.
  • Being a Metal Gear fan, I am so worried for the outcome of this game... Very. Worried.... And confused, of course :/
  • WHEN IS IT COMING OUT?

  • Sweet!  Based on this I can determine that Revengeance game play is like cybernetic Operation the board game.

  • I think I got it. In MGS4, Raiden was a cyborg ninja right? So the part with the doctors is going over how they built him. The part with the guy holding the combat knife is referring to Raiden's past in the child army with George Sears as his "father"/commanding officer. The injection was probably something to either help him cope with the stresses of the war or to make him forget his past. We know that this game is going to be starring Raiden, so more than likely the game is going to be going over how Raiden got the way he did. An interesting way to go for this game, regardless though, Raiden is still a b*tch. =]
  • The answer is no.
  • It looks like Raiden is being rebuilt as a ninja, and he's having flash backs from when Solidus turned him into a child solider. You can hear Solidus in the background as well. The user name in the data base is jtripper. Which is Jack the Ripper.
  • There's a part of my brain where this is stored now that could have gone to math or something.

  • It seems rather counter-intuitive to go out of your way to be inconsiderate to the cybernetic super solider you're creating, evidently against their will. Context for revenge is what these are providing, I presume.
  • I don't understand why they needed a teaser for this
  • I understand that the trailer sucked, was that the answer you were looking for? ...........If not it should be.

  • ITS APRIL 30TH!! HA!

You know the trailers for MGS1 and 2 were live action so I don't get why people hate this one. Did't like teaser trailer but this one is a bit better. Also MGS5 and Rising may both take place in the 80's if Raiden has any playable flashbacks in the game.
  • Do I understand it? Yes, it clearly states Kojima has nothing to do with this project.
  • two separate time periods. first minute or so is raiden getting repaired after his rescue of sunny from the patriots before mgs4. second section is "jack the ripper", raiden as a child soldier, post liberian civil war. he was taken from a recovery facility by the patriots and flooded with nanomachines et al.
  • I have no idea.

  • YA I GOT IT!! it shows how retarded people are that they dont understand the cheesiness, cheap production, and b-movie quality of these trailers. rather, they just judge it bcuz its not transformers and therefore bash the game
