I really hope Hideo doesn't pull a George Lucas and turn MGS into a walking paycheck. As a metal Gear fan I always worry about that because a lot of awesome story driven movies, games and books eventually just become a quick paycheck.

Hopefully we won't see a "Meta Gear Solid: Kinect" game anytime soon or a terrible spinoff with absolutely no effort put in it.


David wants to move on from Solid Snake it seems. Which also worries me because I'm dying for a remake of the original Metal Gear and David IS Snake just like Robert Englund is Freddy Kreuger.

I wish I could have a conversation with Snake!  Seriously, David Hayter is one of the most talented voice actors.

I never knew how different his normal voice is, sounds like it would hurt to voice Snake for hours.

That was sweet! I should probably get the Metal Gear HD Collection.

Very funny, with a subtle and clever visual representation of many actors' problems of making their fame playing one iconic role and now struggles to move their mind past it.  Hayter's failed attempt at 'convincing' Snake to let go also beautifully sounds like an awkward, difficult divorce confession.  Very well done.

On a slightly related note, did anyone else think it was stupid in the first Solid game when they said Snake's name was David? Not only did it take away some character, but just using the voice actor's name was lazy.
