The lights are on
It's not done yet, but if this still image is an indication of what's coming, then I can't wait to see it.
The image comes from Alex Zemke who is working on an animated Portal short called Companionship, which is a "tale of love, loss and cubes." Zemke is a professional animator whose resume includes many Sony properties including Uncharted 2 and 3 and The Smurfs movie, so he knows what he is doing.
Companionship sounds like a passion project that Zemke is working on, so there is no telling when he will consider it complete, but I hope it is soon. You can check out Zemke's DeviantArt page for a few more stills from the project.

i hope she don't speak. just like the game !!(by same voice)
With the mention of Pixar in the title I was thinking it was a theatre release! Oh well, still looks cool!
i hope they can pull of the dark humour that Portal games are known for! should be good if they can!
I always thought that pixar should do a portal movie but this looks cool as well
This sounds amazing, I hope that Pixar will choose this as the major project for this or next year.
not a fan...
The movie is a lie.
Looks more Dreamworks than Pixar.
In any case, I don't like it.
"and the smurfs movie" ....yeeeahhhh..
anything fan-made/portal is god
More Portal!
Dudes tryin to score himself a job at Valve is what he's doin..
I don't think a movie about solving puzzles would be any good.
looks like a similar art style to Star Wars: The Clone Wars
just cause it LOOKS like Pixar, doesnt make it good.
Personally, I don't like the Pixar look in this image. I love Pixar films, but in this case, I don't know, it just looks out of place :(
You lost me at "The Smurfs movie."
*gets trolled*
This actually looks really neat. Love the art style. It makes me kinda want a Portal cartoon. :P
