The lights are on
It looks like we now have a solid idea of what Rayman's next adventure is going to be like. A trailer for Rayman Legends has leaked online, featuring plenty of gameplay footage that sheds light on what the Wii U's touchscreen interface brings to the game.
Players will be able to interact with environments by tapping and sliding their fingers. For instance, you may have to lift a platform (and your team) by dragging your finger upward. Rayman Legends also brings new characters, levels, and minigames to Rayman's world. In one nifty demonstration of the Wii U's near-field communication tech, a player is shown physically placing a heart-shaped object on the Wii U's screen, which then heals the characters in the game. If you've played Skylanders, you have a pretty good idea how this works.
Take a look at the video below, and stay tuned for more details on the game.

That Ezio teaser at the end makes my *** hurt.
this looks awesome!! the part with the screaming rabbid had me dying laughing
It was amazing ... until the Wii U part...
co-op play with that controller seems interesting..
imagine MGS on Wii U (if it's going to be released on Wii U), or flight game with co-pilot using the controller.
That music reminded me of Back To The Future.
This looks fantastic, I'd definitely pick it up, assuming it's as good as Origins, which it seems to be, plus it has some pretty interesting Wii U exclusive features, although I'm assuming the list of compatible items is somewhat short.
AHHHHH Assassin's creed levels!
What the? Must have... Hopefully it's even better than the first.
Very impressed! Consider me intrigued by the innovative possibilities of the Wii U.
Ladies and Gentlemen the future of DLC: little plastic toys. That would be really cool if i was 8 or 9 BUT I'm 23 years old and I don't really know if I could really see myself buying a million toys for game add ons. But I guess this explains how their pokemon titles will work.
It's nice to see that Rayman Origins was successful for UbiSoft and that they're making a sequel. The UbiArt Engine looks noticeably improved here too, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. I want another 3D Rayman. Or, at the very least, another Rayman of appropriate tone - I'm no fan of the current, "Spumco-esque" (Ren & Stimpy) stupidity. Especially with regards to Globox, the dumbest character design in the history of video games - he makes Big the Cat look like Super Mario.
Still, the games are fun. And Ubi Soft - at least, Ubi Montpellier. Michel Ancel's studio - is really creative and very Nintendo-like. I eventually bit the bullet and picked up Origins, so I'll probably buy this too.
The trailer is great. Lots of energy and great music make it clear they're excited to show this thing off.
I'm actually pretty excited for the Wii U. With Nintendo trying to have a better working relationship with outside developers and putting more focus into making sure their next console is more suited and appealing to the core gaming crowd, I think the Wii U should do pretty well. The whole tablet controller may seem like a novelty to some gamers, but I think it will make for some fun gameplay mechanics. If you are able to use just the tablet controller to play full Wii U games without the need of sitting in front of the television or turning on the console, that would be really nice. It doesn't have to be completely portable like a handheld, but just being able to use the tablet alone to get in some playtime now and then without having to mess with anything else would be pretty convenient.
My reaction to the final part.
"Are they.... ripping off Skylanders."
Looks Awesome. Not sure how the skylanders-like figures work, but still, cool. The gameplay looks nice, and even though I didn't get a chance to play the original yet (waiting for the 3DS version), this looks amazing, and will definitely pick it up when I get a Wii U. Also, I was upset when I saw Rabbids in the game, but then I saw you can beat them up. Thank god, I want to shut those things up so badly. Also, YOU CAN PUT IN FREAKING EZIO. AWESOME.
