Latest Wave Of Battlefield 3 Map Assets Incoming

A new batch of maps is coming to Battlefield 3 this June, and EA and DICE have released another wave of screens and a trailer to shed light on the action. Donya Fortress is another of the Close Quarters maps, which put an emphasis on small-scale, high intensity encounters.

Take a look at the trailer below to see Donya Fortress in all its column-shattering, bookshelf-blasting glory. If you're curious to learn more about how these smaller maps play out, take a look at our in-depth preview. The maps are due out in June, with the PS3 getting them a week ahead of the Xbox 360 and PC versions.

All I can say is that I'll be saving my money and not buying this. I just hope the other two planned DLC's cater more to those of us who would rather play on the big vehicle based maps that make BF stand out from all the other shooters on the market.

Finally, more maps without Air Support. Anyone noticed how the new patch has made it nigh impossible to shoot down Jets/Helicopter, and made them more powerful.

I'll get this, but purely for not to get left behind in the weapons dept. Small maps are just nor what battlefield is or ever should be. Bring on the next dlc and forget this ever happened. Anyone who wants cod there is a game out ther that already has it... it's called cod.

So glad they are coming out, was growing tired of the same maps. Server update was a nice addition though. Open question though... How come certain updates come early for certain systems sometimes? And is it just me, or does it usually go early for ps3? I might just not be paying attention enough, that I understand.

I love that DICE is releasing maps that will use BF3's awesome gun-play to its advantage. People are way to quick to say that this is a CoD ripoff, DICE is just trying to mix up the game-play. All the cry babies should know that DICE plans to release new massive vehicle maps later this year.
