Latest Batch Of Ninja Gaiden 3 DLC Adds Ultimate Ninja Difficulty, More

Tecmo Koei has released the third batch of DLC for Team Ninja's Ninja Gaiden 3, and this one adds a new difficulty setting. The publisher says the Ultimate Ninja mode is "not for the faint of heart," so pregnant women and people with heart conditions should probably stay far away.

The content includes the Ultimate Ninja difficulty, new ninja trials, extra items, and a new mode for multiplayer clan battles.

Ultimate Ninja difficulty is available at no cost through May 24, and the multiplayer mode is part of a free game update. Everything else can be purchased individually on the Xbox Live Marketplace or PlayStation Store, or as the Ultimate Ninja bundle for 800 Microsoft Points/$9.99.

  • Yay! We are getting the old Ninja Gaiden games easy difficulty!
  • How about bringing the blood back?
  • We have to pay for difficulty settings now?... I know it's free at first, but this is shameful.
  • Wanted to ask everyone a question! Should I play number 3 right now or play 2 and maybe 1 first? Or will I pretty much get the gist of what the story is about playing Ninja Gaiden 3?
  • I'm waiting for them to release the "fun dlc pack" to buy this game. Hopefully it will add the missing component of the game, which is fun.

  • to bad the game got harshed on :( they should have kept mr glasses.

  • I'll skip on this until they bring a severing dlc pack. I want to see limbs fly!

  • Just played the demo and absolutely hated. It's not even the easiness of the enemies that really gets me. It's how shamefully automatic most of your combos are. You can and will consistently press the attack button two or three times, then lift your finger off and see Ryu perform an 8 hit combo. This is meant to fool the button masher into thinking they accidentally pulled off a skilled technique but it just leaves me with my hands literally off the controller until the enemy dies and the automatic combo sequence finishes. Don't even get me started on the flow killing quick time events for every other enemy. One corner will spawn 60 soldiers and you'll see sooo many quick time events and camera jitters that try to make you look "cool". Absolutely atrocious. New players looking to get into the series should not play this. Don't even play them 3-1 like some suggested. Just buy the Vita version of part 1 if you have to play it or go directly into 2 for any system. Skip this crap.
  • Nope

  • O look they are finishing their game by way of DLC....so sad.

  • $10 to add to this piece of ***?

  • uh.

    Nope! lol.

I'll stick with Ninja Gaiden 2, thank you very much.

  • pAss

  • So the things that are already in the other Ninja Gaiden games are now DLC here? Hmmm, no thanks.

  • Tecmo-Koei should really swallow their pride, pay Itagaki the bonuses he was expecting (promised?) and bring him back to reboot this franchise yet again.

NG3 is a horrible boring pile of tripe.
