We're Probably Not Getting Crysis 3 On Wii U

Crytek is bringing its latest shooter Crysis 3 out in 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. As for Wii U, the developer said "fat chance" for the game coming to Nintendo's new console.

Speaking to Destructoid, Crytek director of creative development Rasmus Hoejengaard said, "I don’t think it’s going to be possible. it’s not in the cards to do a Wii U version."

Electronic Arts released the first gameplay trailer for Crysis 3 this morning.

  • No one likes the Wii U

  • who's gonna buy a wiiu anyways. inconvenient playing style in general
  • I stopped supporting these guys.
  • This is probably a good thing. No one thinks of Nintendo and says I wonder what sweet shooters I can get for it. lol :P

  • i dont want to play another bland shooter anywayz :/

  • Wii-remote/nunchuck owns dual analog. For those of you saying the controller set-up is not good enough for FPS's on WiiU, dual analog cannot even come close to the speed and precision of the wii-remote when it comes to that genre. Your argument fails.
  • Wow. I don't know if it's because Nintendo has been too 1st-party centric for its own good or if it's because the Wii U is late to the party, but it seems like no one is giving the Wii U any love at all.

  • Not coming to the Wii-U probably because Crytek spent so much time/money already optimizing such a demanding game for such old hardware, that by now it's just not going to happen since they've already put to much into the old console hardware to even care about the Wii-U.

Then when next gen consoles PlayStation and Xbox are release, Crytek will want to take advantage of the new high end hardware and once again Nintendo will be shoved aside.

  • @gamerdude83: I think the only moron is the one who actually thinks dual analog is a better control method than simply pointing at the screen and pressing a button. Not even keyboard and mouse is quicker or more precise.
  • I give no ***. Gonna play on pc anyway. As long as they drop the whole suit customization thing and make the game more open world, ill buy it

  • Well, that's one way to put it, I guess...

  • It does not matter. Been off the Nintendo wagon since I was 12 and have not looked back. You did think that such an article would gratify an anti-Nintendo person like me but it doesn't. It all just simply comes off as "expected".
  • Am I the only one whose sad this game got cancelled for Wii U? I'm freaking tired of people ripping on Nintendo. It disgusts me so much. Give this company credit! They have made great games!!!
  • shooters on a console.. Hahahaha :D

  • I wish they would give an actual reason instead of just saying "fat chance". makes them sound like fanboys.

  • Oh no! We Nintendo fans won't get to experience the shoddy shooting/stealth mechanics of another bloated sci-fi shooter! Whatever will we do without this game?!

    ...

Oh, wait, yeah, probably not give a ***.

  • 'It's not in the cards' is very different than 'fat chance'. And you sourced destructoid, basically a tabloid (think enquirer) for gaming? Wow, I guess my new found respect of GI as my gaming source was short lived. Eeeeesh.
  • LOL drama queen

  • Wow. Doesn't surprise me.
