The lights are on
Warner Bros. today announced the Game of the Year edition for Batman Arkham City. Too bad the game's box art is an awful mess.
I'm going to let the picture below do most of the talking, but there's a few things worth pointing out. At a glance you'd think the name of this game is "10 out of 10," but that's our review score. Also, the title is actually one of the smallest things on the cover (it's on the right-hand side).
Even better, it uses a review quote from GamePro, but that magazine no longer exists!
Holy crap! This has got to be the worst ratio of box art to game quality I have ever seen. Whoever signed off on this mess deserves to be fired.
Congratulations, GI, on having the biggest freaking printed words on the box.

This is a joke, right?
The whole point of the stark Batman: Arkham City cover art (as seen on the cover of Game Informer almost two years ago) was to give Batman some dramatic relief and shading... and deliberately play against type by picturing the Dark Knight on a mostl white cover.
Now they've gone and buried the reason people buy the game (you're freakin' BATMAN!) under a wall of "ZOMG!!1! Must buy this game!" red text.
*sigh* If I want advertising porn I'll turn on the TV. ;-)
when the title of the game is smaller than the quotes, you know there's a problem.
As a graphic designer, that's pretty poor work...
Why not just put that information on the back cover
This looks more like a damn movie poster or an advertisement from the page of a magazine.
not a really smart idea to give users a time limit to download the voucher. if you buy a game of the year edition game from anyone, the voucher shouldnt expire.

Okay, in what world are they living in that they think that they have to put that much effort into letting everyone know that the game has gotten every accolade known to man? All this shows is that the marketing department at WB has no idea what they're doing.
