Call Of Duty Reveal May 1

Activision has confirmed the date for when it will unveil its newest Call of Duty title. The publisher updated the official website for the game saying the world reveal will air on May 1 during the NBA playoffs on TNT.

This year's Call of Duty is rumored to be a sequel to the highly successful Black Ops title released in 2010. A forum member on NeoGAF discovered the Black Ops trademark is included the website's source code, lending credence that this new game is indeed a sequel.

Comments
  • Black Ops 2.

  • Well, they changed the logo. Might be the only thing they change between this and the prequel.
  • Sweet! I expect some good stuff from Treyarch.

    @kyleb32 same here bro.

  • Will it ever end?

  • pretty soon the cash cow will die from having its *** sucked completely dry. thanks, activision. you used to make the worst games, and now you pimp them.
  • Guys quit your complaining, you know yourselves you will be buying the new game, and I don't know about you guys, but I got bored of MW3 after a month. So a new Black Ops sounds good.
  • i don't care about the game but yay more reserves for me to get at gamestop people go nuts for cod for some reason despite the fact that there is a billion other shooters that are also great

  • I've said this before, but call of duty needs an over haul, maybe some innovation perhaps?

  • No way a new Cod game I have been waiting for like a year to not care

  • Same game, different name.

  • I personally love COD and im tired of all these haters saying they dont care... well guess what i dont care for you! I know it will be just like the old one but you never know.
  • I bet most people see an article about call of duty and go give it a 1 star rating

  • I would absolutely love for Call Of Duty to be rebuilt from the grown up. but this won't happen. seems more like wishful thinking then anything.

  • so its going to suck...just like basketball...

  • As long as it has zombies, I'm alllll good.

  • Perfect combo - 2 things I couldn't care less about.

  • This year's Call of Duty blast radius will be enormous and when is it not?  Black Ops got too repetitive down the stretch with pointless stealth sequences and explosion every five minutes, which is basically CoD in a nutshell.  But I'll be damned if that prison riot wasn't fun, if the story wasn't good (they didn't have to take their sweet ass time telling it), and if the variety of deaths weren't epic.

Despite what the haters may say, I'll put Black Ops 2 on my holiday list along with HALO 4, Tomb Raider, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, and whatever catches my eyes until then.  What can I say other than I have a passion for the FPS and Action/Adventure markets?

  • I hope that they will introduce a new engine with BO2. I didn't like BO1 and I probably won't buy the sequel, but it would be interesting to see how good/bad it would be in comparison to Frostbite 2.

  • YAY! Another rehashed call of duty game!

  • Meanwhile, people that want an actually good FPS eagerly await the unveiling of the release date of HAWKEN.
