It looks like Sony has registered the domain name www.playstationallstarsbattleroyale.com, according to PlayStationLifeStyle.net lending even more believability to a Super Smash Bros. type fighting game featuring Sony's mascot elite.

Sony's rumored Super Smash Bros. style fighter may have a new name.

According to a survey acquired by the website PlayStation LifeStyle, one of the name's being considered for the still-unannounced game is "PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale."

When rumors of the project first surfaced last year, the name "Title Fight" was also being thrown around. The game will supposedly include a number of PlayStation characters such as Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal and Kratos from God of War.

Developer SuperBot Entertainment has been linked to the project. So far, Sony has not commented on the rumors.

We reached out to them again and will update you if we hear anything new.

Yep. This would be awesome. My concern is, though, Sony has such a wide-range of exclusives is this: How do you make Kratos versus, say, Sackboy playable or fit within a certain rating?

Jak And Daxter would be perfect for this. Also Sly the Raccoon.

But how would Nate Drake and other shooting characters that are PS exclusive work?

I really hope that they won't use that name. That title is just way too long. And "Title Fight" seems pretty bland.

I prefer Title Fight. It's not the best name, but I've never liked it when a company puts a product's name into the name of the game, such as PlayStation Move Heroes, and Wii Sports.

Bah. It just can't in my mind capture the magic or the nostalgia of a SSB. Nor enough characters I'd wish to see brought back from the graveyard.

Give me all the hate you want but this doesn't sound exciting to me. I am curious as to how they will implement the smash bros formula with how vastly different these characters's movesets might be, but beyond that I am not interested and one of the main reasons is the characters. I don't find Sony's characters nearly as exciting as Nintendo's, but that's just me.
