The lights are on
In an interesting nostalgia infused twist, a Zelda fan has recreated Ocarina of Time in Link to the Past's 16-bit art style.
Zelda Fan Game Central moderator MaJoRa has been working on the project for quite awhile, and it's impressive. You can see the full map above, but you can also see each section up close by checking out the link the previous sentence. It's strange, because these areas are all so familiar, despite looking completely different from the way I originally experienced them. Now that the assets have been created, somebody just needs to create a playable game with them, and then give it to the Internet.

**BRAAAHHHH**.
wow just wow
WoW this looks awesome
Really nice work, but I'm not sure if I'd want to play it or not, it just wouldn't feel the same.
Do you play the Ocarina with pixelated notes?
I rewatched the Link to the Past super replay yesterday and Tim and Dan mentioned that if Ocarina would get made in this style they would totally play it.
This is the most amazing thing. Make it a game. Now.
i love these games
Certain game developers should once in a while be reminded of this kind of dedication gamers have. Props!
I'd play a game like this if Nintendo did it. I'm just not really a fan of fan remakes, no matter how cool they seem to be.
Also, while the map is pretty amazing, his directional axis is all *** up. He needs to spin the entire thing a bit clockwise.
Amazing.
THATS AMAZIN'!
This looks awesome, and I would gratefully play any demake that came of this.
this.
