The lights are on
The Witcher 2 finally made its way to consoles, so now we’re all finally figuring out why Adam was harping about it all last year. Also, Fez is fun.
Jeff Cork: I’ve been playing the Witcher 2 over the past few days, and I’m hoping to do a couple of marathon sessions this weekend. My main goal is to find Geralt a shirt. His back is a pretty nasty mess of scars and fresh wounds, and I’m getting less and less excited about looking at it. For a complete change of pace, I’m also going to try to fire up some Rock Band 3. It’s been more than a year since I last played it, and I’m curious to see if I’m still any good at expert-level guitar. My prediction: kind of.
Andy McNamara: I really want to play Witcher 2, but I'm still not done with Xenoblade Chronicles (which I am enjoying by the way), so I will continue to grind through Xeno. Otherwise, I have a couple bike rides planned, a multiplayer Gears of War 3 session on the schedule, and I'm sure I will take a couple breaks to continue my play through of Fez.
Ben Hanson: I want to keep making progress in Xenoblade but I fear the bottomless time-pit that is Trials Evolution. I downloaded the game last night and it consumed my soul. Other than those two, I have gone back to the remake of Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit and am still madly in love with it. Have a good weekend!
Matthew Kato: Going to be playing Trials Evolution this weekend. The only reason I probably won't be throwing my controller is that I don't have a backup.
Jeff Marchiafava: My game time this weekend will be devoted primarily to downloadable games, thanks to Fez and Trials Evolution. Both offer nice bite-sized gaming experiences, which I appreciate after coming off of Mass Effect 3. Especially if I jump into The Witcher 2 one of these days…
Kyle Hilliard: I finished Mass Effect 3 last weekend, so I can finally move on with my life. I have chosen Fez as my next endeavour, with maybe some Trials Evolution sprinkled in for good measure. I have also been thinking really hard about tackling The Witcher 2, as well. My wife has first dibs on that one though, so I will have to wait until she gets to the second disc, and then I can start playing on the first.

I'll be playing Mass Effect 3 Mp all weekend baby!
BF3 and Fez
im going to be finishing bayonetta, that game is insane! then start embracing my immature humor with some duke nukem forever. and i might play some eternal sonata, depending on when it comes in the mail
There is a disturbing lack of Diablo 3 Beta in these comments. That's all I'm doing this weekend. Well that and studying for finals... But mostly Diablo 3.
I rented The Witcher 2.
The sex scene is hilariously corny.
I know how you feel Jeff I just got Geralt drunk as hell & now I'm running around town looking for all my stuff again haha. My weekend will be an RPG/open world type of weekend. Witcher 2 mostly but I might try to fit in some Dark Souls,Castlevania: Lords of Shadow & maybe The Saboteur.
As has been the case for the last 3 or 4 weeks, I'll be trying my best to knock off some of those endless missions in Skyrim. I've actually whittled the Miscellaneous missions down to around 8, and I'm trying my best to avoid talking to anyone until that gets to around 2. The main missions are still stacking up exponentially, but I enjoy every second of being overwhelmed. If however I find myself needing a little break from Tamriel, I plan on hitting up some MW3 for a few hours here and there.
My weekend is pretty much what the rest of you are playing: Witcher 2 with some Trials thrown in to mix it up. Though I have to work on Sat. and Sun. so my "weekend" doesn't start until Mon.
Pokemon White, perhaps Skyrim.
I'll be playing the beta of Ghost Recon Future Soldier. I really like what I am seeing so far. It is a beautiful thing when your team is moving together and swapping cover down the map. It feels great when I get my player to move smoothly from point to point and this is the first multiplayer combat game that I have spent time with considering loadouts and actually paying attention to map layouts. Most rounds I am a bullet magnet but sometimes I get a few killstreaks and find my groove.
Also, I played the Trials Evolution free demo three times last night when all I wanted to do was go to sleep. That game is so fun and satisfying and I can see myself picking up the full version after I finally complete Gears of War 3. The ragdoll physics make it like a neverending loop of X Games highlights frequently mixed in with brutal Tosh.O clips
The Witcher 2, ME3 multiplayer, topped off with a little bit of MLB2k12 and BF3.
Fallout 3, trying to get to level 30...
As soon as I hit my first cave I had to downgrade the difficulty to easy. WTF?
I'll be working on my second playthrough of Borderlands and maybe get some Skyrim in the mix.
I'll be playing Corpse Party and maybe some Red Dead Redemption. I also need to play more of Final Fantasy 6, but we'll see.
Finally getting to really play Xenoblade, along with forza 3, Little
Bigplanet, and professor Layton
There has never been a game that so completely infuriates and enamors at the same time like The Witcher 2, I love the world and the characters, but the combat is kicking me up and down my save file. Let's just say I've gotten very used to the game over screen. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, because it's getting the slightest bit easier, but I'm still eyeing it suspiciously. And I love every mintue. So between that, and a research paper, there's my weekend.
Just finished my first playthrough of Witcher 2 and I must say I am very impressed. I can't wait to dive back in and switch up some of my choices/alliances. This is some of the best dialogue and story writing I've seen lately in a game, and some of the most complex characters I've ever met. Besides that, I'm hoping to find time for some Mass Effect 3 MP and more Fallout: New Vegas. Have a good weekend er'body!
